APSC CDPO Roles and Responsibilities.

An APSC CDPO is a key administrative officer under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme. The CDPO implements and monitors ICDS at the district level. Also, the other roles and responsibilities include:

  1. Supervision of Anganwadi Centres: APSC CDPOs oversee Anganwadi centers, ensuring nutrition, education, and healthcare. They supervise, train workers, and enhance frontline capacity to support children and pregnant women effectively.
  2. Women and Child Welfare Initiatives: From Beti Bachao Beti Padhao to Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), an APSC CDPO ensures that women, especially pregnant and lactating mothers, get financial and nutritional support.
  3. Monitoring and Evaluation: APSC CDPOs track nutrition, child growth, and health data, ensuring policy effectiveness. They inspect Anganwadi centers for ICDS compliance through regular monitoring and evaluation.
  4. Community Engagement: CDPOs foster community involvement by engaging parents, leaders, and authorities to raise awareness and gain support for child development programs.

Scale of Pay: Pay scale + Grade Pay + Other allowances as admissible to the Assam State Government employees from time to time(per month).

  2. The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purposes or Employment Exchange Registration certificate of Assam as proof of residency along with the online application form.

  • PwBD Eligibility: Besides, candidates must provide a Benchmark Disability certificate issued by the competent authority.
  • Government Employees: Regular government employees must upload an employment certificate; those seeking pay protection need an NOC.
  • Small Family Norms: Additionally, a declaration in Form-A regarding “Small Family Norms” must be submitted with the application and necessary documents.
