Exam pattern and marking scheme of Preliminary Exam
The Preliminary Examination will consist of a single objective-type paper on “General Studies.” It will include 200 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 200 marks. The duration of the exam will be 2.5 hours (two and a half hours). The paper will be particularly set at the level of knowledge expected from a graduate of any recognized university.

The Preliminary Examination serves as a screening test for selecting candidates for the Main Examination. However, the marks obtained in this exam are not considered for the final selection.
