Exam structure of MPSC CCE

The recruitment process for the Manipur Civil Services Examination consists of two stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination – Objective-type papers designed to screen candidates for the Main Examination.
  2. Main Examination – A written examination followed by an Interview Test to determine the final selection.

1. Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination is a screening test, and its marks will not count toward the final merit. Approximately 12-13 times the total vacancies will qualify for the Main Examination. Only candidates declared qualified in the Preliminary Examination and meeting other eligibility criteria will be admitted to the Main Examination. The question papers will be set in English only.

2. Main Examination

The Main Examination is the second stage of the recruitment process. It includes a written examination followed by an Interview Test (Personality Test).

The Manipur PSC CCE Mains exam consists of eight papers, including one qualifying paper and two optional subject papers. All papers are descriptive, and each has a time duration of 3 hours.

3. Interview Test (Personality Test)
