Why in the news?
The Chief Minister Soft Loan Scheme (CMSLS), launched by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, aims to promote self-reliance and entrepreneurship among technically skilled youth. About Chief Minister Soft Loan Scheme:
Implementing Agency:
- Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
Eligibility:
- Open to ITI graduates who have completed their training within the last three years (from 2022 onwards).
Objective:
- To enable technically skilled youth to set up their own businesses and become job creators rather than job seekers.
- To empower youth by converting their vocational skills into viable, income-generating enterprises.
- To advance the vision of “Atmanirbhar Arunachal” through skill-based entrepreneurship.

Financial Support Details:
- Under CMSLS, eligible ITI graduates will receive soft loans and incentives in two phases:
- 1st Tranche: ₹1,00,000
- 2nd Tranche: Up to ₹2,00,000
- Toolkit Incentive: ₹15,000
- Loan Subsidy: 25%
- Interest Subsidy: 7%
The loan and interest subsidies are designed to ease the repayment burden on young entrepreneurs and encourage sustainable business operations.

- Welding and fabrication
