STAGE II: Mains Examination

The mains examination of the APPSC exam structure comprises a total of 8 papers. It has one qualifying paper and seven merit papers of a descriptive nature.

STAGE III: Interview/ Personality Test

1. The interview or personality test is the final stage of the APPSC CCE process. It carries 275 marks.

2. Candidates are evaluated on their overall personality. They are also assessed on their communication skills. Problem-solving abilities are another area of evaluation. Lastly, general awareness is taken into consideration.

3. The test aims to evaluate the candidate’s mental ability. It assesses both their intelligence and their social skills, along with their interest in current events. This includes understanding the customs, manners, and dialects of Arunachal Pradesh.

4. Some of the qualities to be judged include mental alertness and critical powers of assimilation. Care and logical exposition are also important. The balance of judgments, variety, and depth of interest should be considered as well. Additionally, the ability for social cohesion and leadership is crucial. Lastly, intellectual and moral integrity are essential qualities to evaluate.

5. The marks obtained in the interview are out of 275. These marks are added to the Mains marks, which are out of 1750. The final merit ranking is calculated out of 2025.
