Vibrant Villages Programme Phase-II Launched from Cachar

The Union Home Minister has launched Vibrant Villages Programme Phase-II (VVP-II) from Nathanpur village in Cachar district of Assam. The scheme covers nearly 2,000 border villages across 17 States and Union Territories adjoining Pakistan and Bangladesh. With a total outlay of ₹6,839 crore, the programme aims to ensure safe, secure, and vibrant land borders through infrastructure development, livelihood generation, and stronger internal security mechanisms.
