What Are The Eligibility Criteria?
(a) Nationality & Domicile
- Must be an Indian citizen
- Must be an original inhabitant of Assam
- Must be registered at a District Employment Office of Assam
- Must be able to speak Assamese or other official/associate/tribal languages of Assam
(b) Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 38 years
Age Relaxations:
- SC/STP/STH candidates: up to 43 years (5-year relaxation)
- OBC/MOBC candidates: up to 41 years (3-year relaxation)
- PwBD candidates: up to 10 years relaxation (irrespective of category)
Age will be calculated based on Matriculation/HSLC/HSSLC Admit Card or Pass Certificate/Marksheet only. No other document will be accepted.
(c) Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Degree from a recognized University — Central or State University, or an institution declared as Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.

Women candidates are fully exempt from application fees as per APSC CCE Amendment Rules, 2019. Fee once paid is non-refundable.
How to Apply for APSC CCE 2025-26
Applications must be submitted online only via https://apscrecruitment.in. No other mode is valid.

- Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) if not already done — use a valid, active email address and mobile number
- Log in with your registered credentials
- Fill in the application form carefully — mandatory fields are marked with (*)
- Upload required documents in PDF format (max 4 MB, 200 dpi greyscale)
- Upload your recent photograph (50–200 KB, not older than 3 months) and signature (50–200 KB)
- Preview all entries using the Preview option before final submission
- Click Proceed to Pay and complete the fee payment
- Save the confirmation and take a printout of the submitted application for future reference
No edits are permitted after final submission. Review everything carefully before clicking submit.

Examination Pattern
Stage 1 — Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
The Prelims is a screening test only. Marks scored here are not counted in the final merit list.

- 1/4th of the mark allotted to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer

Stage 2 — Main Examination (Written + Interview)
Candidates shortlisted from the Prelims (11–12 times the number of vacancies per category) will be called for the Main Examination.

Exam Centres — Preliminary Examination
